  1. Ultramann is the last son of Krypton from a parallel universe. As a young child he would torment other children often stealing their candy and juice boxes. This prompted his parents into believing they spawned the son of the devil. As a result they sent him away in a spaceship.

Ironically as he rocketed away his ship collided with an asteroid. The small bump from the spaceship was enough to move the asteroid into Krypton’s path. The warning of the impending asteroid came to late and Krypton perished.

Ultramann’s ship landed in the great city of Chicago where he was found and raised by Al Capone. By the age of 18, Ultramann killed his adopted father, took over the family business, and formed the Crime Syndicate.

It wasn’t long until he ruled the whole earth.

One hero rose to stop him, Alex Luthor. Luthor used his vast intellect to build a machine that would rid his world of Ultramann once and for all.

The machine took away his powers, erased his memories, and sent him to a parallel Earth.

Lost and Confused, Ultramann wandered the world filled with an emptiness that could only be satisfied by the occasional line of coke off a hooker’s ass.

It wasn’t until a single Exobyte bit him and gave him new powers that the emptiness finally went away, though he continued to see the occasional hooker.

Embodied with new power destiny began calling for Ultramann. Heroes and Villains alike tried to recruit this new powerhouse.

Only the Darkest Dawn was deemed worthy.

Will he revert back to his evil ways, become the ultimate hero, or just be the next Charlie Sheen?

    Only time will tell……………….

  4. Origin: Swan

    Intro
“I was born of magick… A child of the Gargarean tribe... A champion of the Gods... Blessed with their gifts, I was chosen to fight for them, to impart their will and wisdom to a world that does not believe in them.” - Swan

560 km from the Amazon island known as Themyscira is the island Thalarion. Thalarion was created by the Olympian god Zeus, after his return from the hands of Darkseid's minions. On this island Zeus also created an all-male warrior tribe known as the Gargareans. They would be the new Amazons after the fall of Hippolyta. They were created to bring peace to the world. Swan is a boy from this tribe.

    Creation
A top a hill an Amazon and Gargarean raise their bows. They are lovers. Every night when the hunter’s moon was out, they would meet in secret moonlight to talk of the day’s battles and then succumb to human desires. However, tonight they challenge each other in honor of their Goddess Athena, to see who the better archer is. They aim with precision and technique, focusing on a single Myrrh tree in the far distance. The challenge is to pierce the Myrrh tree’s bark without letting any precious sap spill.

They let their bows go and the two arrows collide on the Myrrh tree. To their surprise the arrows hit their mark, but also cracked the Myrrh tree open. Within the tree a young baby sleeps covered in a blanket made of swan feathers. The two lovers quickly surmise that this was a blessing from the Gods.

Regrettably, the Amazon knew she could not bring a male child to Paradise Island. Furthermore, the Gargarean feared his tribe would not accept such a creature and see it as an abomination. So they did what mortals do when all seemed hopeless. They prayed.

Unnatural thunder clouds filled the sky and covered the moon. The lovers stopped praying as they heard a creature approach. It was a swan and then suddenly shifted in the form of a naked man. It was Zeus. He proclaimed the child his own and blessed by the Gods. He ordered the Gargarean to take him and train him in their ways.

    Destruction
Sixteen years later a young Gargarean warrior rolls out of bed. He is woken by the sounds of battle outside. The crystal city of Thalarion is under siege by Brainiac’s forces.

While grabbing his bow and armor, he wonders how the mystical protection of the Gods cast on his island was so easily broken.

Outside, he sees the Gargarean army fighting a vast host of Brainiac forces. The young warrior quickly goes to battle taking down several drones with his bow. In the distance he sees the Amazons arriving on their ships to aid his tribe.

His city is in ruin. The golden river which runs through the crystal city is now filled with blood and flesh of his tribe.

    Outro
“Despite the Gargarean army and the arrival of the Amazons, Brainiac’s forces were too much for my people… Next thing I recalled… I was in a pod and some lady was talking to me, she called herself Oracle.” - Swan

  5. Once simply a Camp Counselor at Camp Kiddawampa, Jacob Thorn always enjoyed sharing his love of nature and the wilderness with the children who visited the summer camp. An accomplished white rafter rafting guide and volunteer EMT, it was just another day around the campfire when Braniac's force's landed. Isolated away from the city, no one had known about the awakening of powers or of the invasion looking to overcome Earth.
It was during ghost stories that an enraged, flaming metahuman stormed in, setting both Cabin and child in a blazing inferno. The shrieks of pain and crackle of flame awoken the laden powers within Jacob as he cried out as flesh ripped away to reveal solid exoskeleton, and wings. The very crickets and mosquitoes swarming to aid as thousands of tiny insects shielded the children from harm. One oddly taloned hand raised up as, though dark, plants blossomed and exploded in air some magical aloe, perhaps, healing the wounds beyond medical abilities.
With children behind him, protected and healed, Thorn's body peeled off the exoskeleton to reveal flesh once more as he guided away the campers to deal with the blazing creature. From the ground spikes of thorns shot out, while tendrils of vines shot out to ensnare the man, despite increasing flame, the plant life continued to wrap around the beastly villain until the fires were snuffed.
After using new found abilities to snuff the flames, creating a vacuum of super-speed, he helped rebuild the camp with his new found abilities before heading to the city.
Jacob found out quickly that Metropolis was filled with new heroes, and new villains like the ones he had met. He visited the nearest police station to register himself as one of the newest heroes. The only snag? All the good names were taken! "Plantman" "WeedBGone" "Pete Moss" "Bugger Vance"..... after hours of frustration, the officer behind the counter noted the frustration, with a thick irish accent, "Steady yourself, man! We'll find you a name"....... "Steady? Eh... good enough".
Steady freelanced for awhile, but found that seldom paid the bills. After joining up with a few leagues who hoarded the pay, Steady was at risk of being homeless, broke... and with a lack of fancy gear. A friend saw him down on his luck and referred him to Darkest Dawn, where he resides cause it pays the bills :P.
